Emanuel Gottlobb and Mary Bross and their three children, Christian,
Magdalena, and Fredrick, came to this country from Herrenburg, Germany in
1854. There is not much information about Emanuel and Mary. They
evidently settled around Greer, as we found their tombstones at Kaylor
Ridge Cemetery north of Greer OH. The information on the tombstones are
as listed below.
EMANUEL GOTTLOBB BROSS, b. 1801, d. May21, 1861, at the age of 6 0 yrs., 3 mos., and 16 days.
MARY, his wife, was born 1809, d. Jan 9, 1880, at the age of 7 1 years,. 9 mos., and 5 days.
If anyone has any information about their history that can be added to this it would be appreciated. The following information I have gathered from tombstones and with help from other members of the family. It pertains to the children of Emanuel and Mary Bross and the succeeding generations.
