Obituary:

Mrs. Fred L. Stitzlein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Temple was born May 4, 1876 in Coshocton Co. Baptized in early infancy, she in mature years formally united with the Lutheran church at Greersville Ohio. On Jan. 6, 1896 she was united in holy wedlock with Mr. Fred L. Stitzlein, of Knox Co. In 1906 on the first day of April Mr. and Mrs. Stitzlein moved to Loudonville, and this has remained the home of the happy family and their three children. It seemed all too sad and sudden to be true when on Monday July 12th it was reported, Mrs. Stitzlein is dead. Wednesday, July 7, she was suddenly stricken with peritonitis. Nothing was left undone to relieve the sufferer and if possible keep one loved and we would say, needed so much, in the family circle. God had planned otherwise. What gone! to be able to bow in humble faith to His good and fatherly will. Monday, July the 12th at 3 a.m. the spirit took its flight - the sufferer was relieved and the child home. The deceased had arrived at the age of 33 years, 2 months and 8 days.

There remain weeping and mourning yet rejoicing in the Lord, the husband, three children, the father James Temple, six brothers and two sisters. Funeral services at the Zion Lutheran Church, Wednesday, July 14. Internment in Loudonville cemetery.

Sarah was born and reared on a farm in Knox Twp of Holmes County Ohio. I have been able to find out very little about her family. I do know that they attended the Kaylor Ridge Lutheran Church and that her parents are buried there. As an adult she had 2 brothers in Loudonville, Mike and Dan. Mike owned a saloon and Dan owned a grocery. Sarah had a very pleasant personality.
