William moved to Mansfield, Ohio (after retirement?). He lived to be 100
years old and on his last birthday received congratulations from
President Richard M. Nixon. My father (Robert Bross) said he taught
penmanship and was a beautiful writer. My mother (Alice Bross) also went
to school to him when he taught at Norrick School on the CCC Highway.
Both are buried Zion Lutheran Church near Jelloway on Dutch Hill.

Ella was a daughter of Immer and Mary (Crum) McMillen who lived on a farm near Nashville. She had 9 sisters and 2 brothers who lived to become adults.
Obituary: MARY ELLEN McMillen BREITENBUCHER was born Sep 11 1874. She early learned of a savior who suffered and died for her and while yet in her teens she accepted him as her personal Lord and Savior and as a living stone in his church, she continued. She married GEORGE HENRY BREITENBUCHER, December 19 1895. To this union, 4 children were born; Lulu, Helen, Elizabeth and a baby boy, Harold. Into this new home she carried her first joy of a savior, friend and saw her husband and eldest daughter take their stand with her. She departed to wait the final summons of our king calling the remainder of his army home. The first of a family of 12 children to (die?). The end came quietly and calmly, as a deep sleep, October 28 1913 at the age of 39 yrs, 1 mo., 17 days. An husband and 4 children survive her along with a host of relatives who sadly miss her.
