Eva and Raymond lived all of their married life in Loudonville on North
Sprint Street, North Market Street (corner of Humm Ave where the Flexible
plant is now located is where the 1st home they owned was located), and
then they bought a house on North Wood Street where they both lived until
they died. Ray was an auto mobile mechanic and learned his trade while
working for G.F. Raby Auto Sales in Loudonville. They both graduated
from Loudonville HS. She was a bookkeeper and worked for Loudonville
Milling Co until they started to raise a family. About the same time
they started in business for themselves in an automobile repair shop
located across the alley from the southwest corner of the central park.
In the late 20's he engaged in parnership with Brink Spear and Bob Wilcox
and took over the Ford Agency from the G.F. Raby estate. Not too long
after that happened, Ford Motors decided to quit manufacturing Model T's
and announced that they would come out with a new Model A in six months.
The six month period stretched out to almost three years and the only
income the partnership had was from the repair department which was under
Ray's supervision. Friction developed in the partnership a couple of
years after the Model A's were on the market and they sold out to Fulmer
and Son. This was in the 30's and times were very hard because of the
great depression. Ray went back in to business for himself as a subagent
for a Pontiac agency in Ashland. Eva baked pies for several years for a
local restaurant in order to keep some money coming in for groceries. (At
that time you could still buy a good sandwich for 5 cents and a big cut
of pie for 5 cents. For a family that gardened and canned, five dollars
would keep them in store bought groceries for a week.) Because of Ray's
hard work his business started to improve. He went into partnership with
Peter Wagner. They build a garage on W Main Street and took on a full
agency for Pontiac an d Oldsmobile. They separated after a few years and
Ray and Eva took on Oldsmobile, Chrysler and Plymouth in the old McMann
Bakery building on South Water Street in partnership with John and
Marjory Halblaub. Garage foreman. No civilian automobiles during the war
so they bought out the stock of a variety and drug store and that along
with some few automobile sales kept the m going until they were able to
take on a GE appliance line until automobiles were again being produced.
They then handled Olds and American Motors. After Ray's sudden death,
Eva sold out and retired. She was much concerned with church work and
did many sub rosa good deeds.
Eva took great pride in her ability to prepare Thanksgiving dinner for her entire family and usually some friends. In later years the total diners amounted to about 50. She discouraged any assistance until the year before her death. After John's wife, Jean, died, she helped with the housework and also supervised the children in their work to the best of her ability.

1813 according to LDS
From an email from Clarence Bigler (Weaver cousin)
"I have been unable to find any information about William Weaver's parents. The only information I have comes from the Probate court in Wayne county Ohio. He filed his final citizenship papers with that court. In this document he renounces allegiances to the king of Wuertenberg (now a state of Germany) and also tells he came to the USA from the Rheinland area of that country during 1934"
1880 Census lists household as William, Saloma, Emma.
